BBQ Box East Coast Popular Dishes
Famous dishes of BBQ Box East Coast are discussed below:
Premium Mala Pork Skewer
This delicious dish has tender pork chunks that are painstakingly twisted into skewers and then deftly spiced with a quality Mala spice blend. Mala gives the soft pork a strong, fragrant flavor.
Grilled Pork Trotter
It’s a flavorful dish made with slow-cooked, perfectly seasoned pork trotters over a barbecue. Pig’s feet, or trotters, are marinated in a mixture of herbs, spices, and marinade or glaze. The grilling technique gives the outside a burnt flavor.
Grilled Tentacles Of Squid
Squid tentacles that have been perfectly grilled and seasoned are the star of this delicious seafood dish. The squid retains its natural sweetness while gaining a smokey taste from grilling.
Grilled Chicken Meat
It alludes to tender chicken pieces that have been perfectly seasoned, marinated, and grilled. This cooking technique maintains the interior moist and tasty but adds a smokey taste and attractive char marks on the outside.
Tried out one of the newer BBQ Box outlets at East Coast Road after having good experiences at the Bugis and Geylang locations. It’s a mixed bag for me.The place has a sleek, modern interior with plenty of indoor seating, though outdoor seating is limited. Despite arriving during peak dinner time, we got a table for two immediately, which was great. They have a wide variety of food options, and ordering is straightforward via QR code. The skewers arrived quickly (6-9 mins), but other dishes like the grilled scallops and eggplant took a bit longer. Unfortunately, there was no option to adjust the spice level per dish; instead, you choose one spice level for all orders, which was a little disappointing. I chose non-spicy, but most dishes still had a bit of a kick. Also, the dishes seemed heavy on cumin, which overpowered some flavors and made the taste a bit monotonous.Favorites included the potato slices, beef, and grilled eggplant. The grilled scallops, however, were overcooked and ended up too tough. Their homemade plum juice was not quite to my taste, with a slight sweetness that wasn’t what I expected, but I still managed to finish it.The ambience was louder than I’d prefer, with music that made conversation difficult. Some mellow Mandopop might better complement the food and create a more relaxed vibe. While BBQ Box is one of the most popular skewer spots in Singapore, prices are on the higher side, and I missed the spice customization available at their Bugis and Geylang outlets. Overall, it’s worth a try, but I hope they add more flexibility to the dining experience here.
I recently visited BBQ Box, a popular Chinese chain, and was impressed by the quality of the food. The flavours were spot on, and everything was cooked to perfection. Whether you’re a fan of BBQ or just love good Chinese cuisine, this place delivers! Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the mood for a tasty meal.
Can always count on BBQ Box for a good time. Great supper/chill drinks spot if you like Chinese food.I’m quite boring so when it comes to ordering skewers, my go-to are: mushrooms (shiitake and king oyster), potato, chicken/beef/pork. Must-get for me side dishes are the chili oil noodles and the cold salad. The chili oil noodles can be a little strong on the “麻/numbing sensation” (from the Sichuan peppercorns?). A little oily too so be warned. The cold salad was soooo good - refreshing and zesty. I think there was white vinegar so that might not be to everyone’s tastes.
Decent place for Chuan Chuan...Not really economical, but decent pricing. Hard to find parking nearby.Join the membership for some discount which means you have to visit a few times at least for this stall.Repeated visit, it is an "OK" place for me to visit from time to time.
One of the less crowded BBQ box outlets. Have tried BBQ box in quite a few outlets but feel like their 肉串 seasoning and doneness is nicer than othersFavourite are the beef skewers and grilled oyster mushroom.
Nice chic place for a BBQ sessionNo smoky smell yet the nice grilled flavorsGenerous portionsSpicy and non-spicy options availableSpace a little small so do be considerate to others
Food is good as always.Recommend the iberico pork belly, toasted bread, oyster mushroom and potato.Five stars because there was a male staff who ran after us twice to pass us our meds and bottle that we left before. 😅❤️✨
Visited a week ago around 5 for early dinner. First time visiting this outlet. Given the timing, we were the only occupied table. Food choice was largely similar to other outlets but some items were not available. Food here was less charred which means healthier. No complaints except maybe the aircon was a bit cold. They could turn it down when there are less people to save on utilities. Got voucher for use at other outlets after we paid. Parking could be a problem if u visit during peak meal times.Edit: accidentally gave it 1 star overall when the other 3 sections were 5 stars.
Quite nice to eat at BBQbox. Lots of variety in terms of Skewers and dishes. Reapply like their mutton with cumin skewer and their chicken wings! Both are super juicy and tasty. Their membership is also pretty decent and you'll immediately get your member fees back in a 20$ voucher and some free skewers so why not. Better just join first. We went in the afternoon but the place definitely has better vibes for dinner and supper
Taste of all the normal skewers was pretty much one dimensional so do order the premium meats if you want to actually taste the quality meat or have some variety.Pricing is reasonable and portions are fair too. This place attracts a wide spectrum of clientele from young families to working adults on a Fri night drinking session to older folks.

I've been meaning to check this place out for a long time, and I'm so glad we did! Brought my parents here and we had a real feast, everything was amazing, including the service! For starters we had the vinegar peanuts and smashed cucumber, both highly recommended! Those of minority races might find it a little intimidating to visit at first, as the restaurant is of a particular style and clientele, but I had a great experience and assure you all are welcome here!
The lighting inside is a bit dim, which is suitable for drinking some wine. The skewers and noodles I ordered were delicious. I want to try dumplings next time. It's suitable for hanging out with friends after riding on the East coast.
Comfort food for me. After a stressful day I really just want to indulge in meat esp beef and mutton, and BBQ Box is it. Found the fatty beef with glass noodle in savoury-sourish soup exceptionally heartening. The 40-day aged beef is good although the size is smaller than what I had expected. I'm happy after a meaty meal!
I was so impressed with my dinner this evening! I tried the barbecue stick, beef, chicken and lamb, fried potatoes, Mala sour soup noodle , scallops is yummlicious and my group of friends got the watermelon juice drink is fantastic. We both finished our whole plates/sticks of barbecue and were so impressed with the quality of the food and the short amount of time it took to receive it. As before we entered we only table but after that starting crowds. Our waitress was sweet and helpful. I will definitely be back
Bought 10 sticks each of lamb & pork skewers to take-out, totalling near $30.Young lady cashier was rude, unmotivated to even lift a finger, let alone eager to serve. When I opened up the takeaways skewers for dinner, what I found to my horror was a small portion of what appears like leftover meat from a dog's dinner. All disposable wooden skewers sticks were removed & tiny, dark clumps of meat were dumped into a paper box, looking like messy small meat clumps leftover from a dog's dinner.Actually, the sight of it is more like poo pellets, highly revolting & flabbergasted to say the least. My hungry appetite instantly turned to nausea & couldn't bring myself to eat anything throughout the evening.😖😣😩😫😵🤮🤮🤮
love it no frills always a seat and a friendly team of service staff - food is always on pointnon spicy stuff like dumplings and noodles and soup for the kids too - love it
First time visiting this outlet. They served our bread without sugar a few times but that was quickly corrected. The waiters, though, were extremely nice and friendly. They let us keep birthday cake in the fridge, brought it out when we asked and even brought serving plates without having to ask. They also wished my friend happy birthday a few times, so nice right 🥹 birthday girl also got a $5 no min spend return voucher... 10/10 service ! Will come to this outlet over others
The environment is quite nice and wide variety of food and drinks except they don’t have coffee. The food as expected has abit more seasoning than others type but is still not bad. Service is quite good. We celebrated birthday here and they even offer plastic small plate and spoon for usSome item are quite expensiveTotal $300 for 5 adult 2 kidsQuite empty on lunch timeHard to find parking
Very nice china bbq! Great atmosphere with great food and friendly staff. The cold spinach and grill chicken is one of my favourites! The skewers are also very nice and each have their own unique taste. The grilled pork intestine also very crispy and easy to eat. They even provide small bottles of mouthwash in the toilet so feel free to even eat the foods with garlic and vinegar as you can gargle out the smell after eating. The mouthwash is very hygienic too as its meant for 1 person usage.
The BBQ box consistently boasts an appealing restaurant design, with well-balanced lighting and spacious surroundings. The service is reliably excellent, offering traditional Chinese dishes and flavorful BBQ sticks. The prices are reasonable, and they also feature affordably priced beer.
FOOD SNOB APPROVEDBBQ Box offers a variety of knockoff Sichuan dishes. Spicy mala flavours are always on point and bring out the authenticity; but at the same time a sophisticated customer can appreciate their infusion of modern elements in traditional dishes. BBQ Box has a good vibe, friendly staff, fast services and the best drinks. Definitely try their mushroom bbq; you won’t see mushrooms the same.
Highly recommend to come here with Eatigo on weekdays as there is up to 50% discount. Otherwise the price may be a bit steep.Really enjoyed the skewers here as they are all flavourful. Cozy and nice ambience and free mouth wash were also provided in the washroom.
Pleasant service and food on a non-peak weekday.Food was fast to serve. Typical Chinese meat skewers. Very flavorful but can be a bit too much for some. A lot of cumin taste.Overall, pleasant experience
